Default Fairbury for 20-somethings

Hi, I am considering applying for a job in Fairbury, Nebraska, and was wondering how a 26 year old single guy would enjoy the town. I'm looking for info on cost of living, quality of the people, and activities. I'm not a huge party animal, but I do like to go out and have a few beers after work, or on a Saturday night, so any info on that would be great as well. I'm also looking to settle down a little, have some stability, and maybe find a half way decent woman. Are these things I can look forward to in Fairbury, or should I look elsewhere?

I would also be working in a position where I would be dealing with the public frequently, so I also want to hear what the people are like in the town (are they friendly, outgoing, gossips, etc?)

I used to live by Fairbury and know a few people there. The people are nice, but seems like there are more drug type people there. I dont think the bars are anything special. Typical small town bars. As for meeting someone close to your age, good luck. There isnt anything around there to keep young women around town.
