Speaking of the Fourth, we had a pretty big mishap today. We had a large group of people, about 20 something, and I were all sitting in front of and in a garage with several fireworks. We were watching one go off when suddenly, it tipped over and shot over the house, no one moved except for me, I darted up and sprinted out of there, then I turned around and yelled for them all to run, then more rounds started to come in and we were at the perfect distance so they would burst when they reached the area we were. A few got into the garage and burst but none set off any other fireworks thankfully and there was only a minor injury with a burn in a shirt and but it also burst near her ear so they're getting that checked out.

"I'm guessing you went to the Sumner parade? I ended up going with my family and I knew the amount of candy they would get, but I was suprised when that guy gave out stuffed animals!"

We were getting ready to leave the parade thinking it was over. We heard that they mobbed that float with the stuffed animals.

Did you see that house in Overton that burned because of the kids playing with firework inside the house. The home is completely destroyed.

I didn't see the house personally, but read about it today in the online Kearney paper. How sad, at least no one was seriously hurt.
