Information on Paxton (North Platte, Ogallala: 2009, rentals, daycares)

Hello! Just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on Paxton. Looking to relocate to the area but seem to be having a hard time finding information on rentals, daycare...ect. Thanks!!!!!

Did you try the Ogallala news paper "do they have one" or chamber of commerce in Ogallala? It is about 20 miles from there. Also try the North Platte Telegraph it is about 35 miles from there.
Sometimes I will call a local business in a small town, they can tell you anything you need.

I would think Paxton is big enough to have some sort of newspaper. Use Google Earth or Google Maps to find out more about the towns geography, I-80 is just to the south.

Try calling the city clerk, usually in small towns like that, they can give you all the information you need.

If not the City Clerk then probably the best source of information would be Ole's... its a world famous bar and they would know everyone in the area. Website for Ole's Big Game Steakhouse & Lounge Phone is 308-239-4719 they would know.

Paxton doesn't have their own newspaper, they are covered by the Keith County News, which isn't available online.

There probably aren't many rentals available there. You can view NE licensed daycares here:

There is only one in-home daycare listed in Paxton, and one preschool (no childcare).

They are covered by the Ogallala/Keith County Chamber of Commerce:

I would not recommend Paxton as a place to pick out of the blue to move to, unless you have something strongly pulling you there. You would have a better chance finding rentals and services in nearby Ogallala.

Paxton is a nice little town, but not much there for employment or services (except a really unique places called Ole's, mentioned above).

What about 5 Trails Winery in Paxton???? It's relatively new, but should be an interesting place.
