Cox isn't in Lincoln.
Road Runner, Internet Nebraska, Wind Stream, a few others.
My husband says that Time Warner is the only option for cable internet. Road Runner and Internet Nebraska are both through Time Warner.

I have Road Runner through the Time/Warner Cable package. Basic Cable TV, Digital phone with unlimited long distance and Road Runner High speed Internet. The total package is a bit over $150.00/month with taxes and worth every penny In My Opinion! I have business, family and friends scattered all over the country and before I got the unlimited long distance package I might pay $200.00 in long distance charges in a month.

For cable internet your only choice is Time Warner. If you want DSL then you have the option of Windstream.
I've never had Windstream, but when I lived in Lincoln (up to last summer) Time Warner was absolutely horrible. And according to most of my friends their service is still rather poor.
Again, I can't compare it to windstream directly, but all I know is Cox (in Omaha) absolutely blows Time Warner in Lincoln away.
I experienced "dial up" speeds with my broad band connection about 75% of the time and when I complained all they would say is they can't guarantee high speeds. I just laughed at that comment because I knew they could guarantee charging me for high speed internet.
At any rate, I would at least consider windstream.

Why not just get A cricket cell phone (unlimited minutes and long distance [US & Canada]) for $45
And a cricket Broadband internet card for unlimited internet for $35 more (bundled with the phone)
That's everything u have now plus its mobile and its only $80 a month! Plus you can't text from your landline!
http://www.mycricket.com < check em out, they're in Lincoln!
And forget about cable tv! get a digital convertor box for free local television and stream any shows you like over your broadband internet...

I personally use Windstream DSL, as does most of my extended family, and the service is fast and reliable. Unlike some past experiences with cable (which advertises higher speeds but doesn't always deliver them) the download speeds are always at or near the advertised rate.
