Default The 2008 Nebraska football thread

Well Saturday is the big day, the first game of the season and first game of the Pelini era. So since we don't have a game to talk about yet, any predictions for the up coming season?

I might be a tad optimistic, but I think we could get to 9-3. I could see us upsetting Virginia Tech and Kansas (how weird it is to say upset Kansas in football) at home. Our losses would come to Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas Tech.

We should get back to a bowl game. There are 7 games we should win, IMO. Of course in college football anything can happen. Be interesting to see what happens. Go Huskers!

My question is anyone with dish network have you been able to order it yet?
Husker football Saturday can not come soon enough, I just love the atmosphere when the huskers play.

I just can't believe that there was not a massive uprising over the first game of this new era being pay-per-view... seems to me a few years ago there was a big game that was tagged as pay-per-view, but after the uprising one of the network stations struck a deal to pick it up... oh well, will just listen to the new play-by-play guy...

I was surprised also about the pay per view and a network not picking it up. This is the starting of the Pelini era. The first three games are by pay per view, I will do this one, but I will probably not do the next two.
But the first game we always have a big blow out "family wise getting together".
