Default Apartments or Townhomes in Lincoln

Moving there from the Desert (Albuquerque). Need someplace that has good two bedrooms with garages. The rent sites are nice and all, but I keep hearing horror stories about half of them. Also.. there seems to be this irrational fear of hamsters? Half the apartment and townhome complexes will allow cats and dogs, but Hamsters are the devil *laugh*

I hear college students are also a huge problem?

Any recommendations good or bad for the area?

with regard to the college student problem, just avoid anything with "Stadium View aka College Park Apartments" or "Claremont" in the name

Also there are a lot of new aparts on Fletcher Ave off of N 27th and I mean a lot. I don't have any firsthand knowledge but they <<may>> have college students but probably not too bad.

I would recommend the apartments with "Williamsburg" in the name on forrent.com. Also, any of these are nice and a good company: www.chateaudev.com
