Omaha is the best bet as they are not into protecting their friends interest, but in expanding their town by getting business and industry to come to their city instead of fighting it like they do in Lincoln.

I live in La Vista but consider myself an Omahan. I was born and lived most of my life in Omaha and I love it! I also lived in Lincoln for a while when I was going to UNL. I then moved from Papillion to La Vista. Not sure what problem people have with Omaha unless they generally don't like any big city, which I can understand. Omaha has its flaws but it's improved quite a bit from when I was a child especially the downtown riverfront area. I'm new here but its nice to meet all of you.

I grew up in Wayne, went to college in Chadron, and student-taught in Bayard.
That's the last time I lived in a town of any size...
Since then I live in counties (since we tend to be pretty rural, living on ranches my husband works for):
Dawes, Sheridan, Lincoln, Blaine, Holt, Cherry, and currently- Dundy
My folks are still in Wayne, and I have a lot of family around Bloomfield.
We also have friends and family all over the state.

Rural Morrill County, and like most Nebraska counties, the city of Morrill is NOT in Morrill County. :-)
