Default What Nebraska city do YOU live in?

I'm not used to seeing a whole lot of NE forumers outside of Omaha. So where in Nebraska do you all live?

I live in a condo in Downtown Omaha.

Well it is not a condo in Omaha. I only come to Omaha when I have to. As far as I am concerned we lost the coin toss with Iowa on who was going to get Omaha. Just kidding if you are tired of Omaha and you work there I would look at moving to Gretena which is close to Omaha so that the drive into work is not to long and you get a small community like living. There are several other small communities around Omaha that will be nice to live in.

Of course most of us in Omaha aren't living in condos. Our suburban neighborhoods look no different than those springing up in Gretna (in fact, within 10 years, Gretna will look like Millard today)... it just happens they're closer to work/amenities. I guess I never really understood the 'small community' appeal... unless it meant living on a quiet acreage or something.

When I'm in Omaha my primary residence is in the Embassy Suites by the Old Market ... the best service there is in NE.

I like the Falling Water Grille at the Embassy Suites... one of the best kept secrets in Omaha. You know, they're actually building another Embassy Suites near I-80 and Giles in La Vista ... as we speak.

Atrium of the downtown Embassy Suites

Nice hotel star_gazer, wonder if Mayor Seng and the Lincoln City Council could agree to allow something like this to come to Lincoln? On second thought maybe not, as it would not fit into their idea of protecting the great downtown area in Lincoln. Man what was I thinking about. Omaha is the best bet as they are not into protecting their friends interest, but in expanding their town by getting business and industry to come to their city instead of fighting it like they do in Lincoln.
