Default The Local View of lending

I just thought I would post this article. It's about how our banks are stable and doing business as usual. The real estate market in many areas are also pretty stable. While the national scene does affect us, sometimes its better to get the local view.

Funny, I remember a few years ago some people complaining about how our local banks were too conservative - they wouldn't come out with those loan products that the nationals or coastal banks had like 40 year amortization, interest only mortgage, 105% loans, etc... well, sure glad they were smart enough to not give up into those bad bad fads... also glad I've been loyal to my local bank, I have no doubt that if I needed credit in the current market my local banker would be of assistance (but since I hate debt I don't think I'll test it)...

Something to say for "midwestern values" - whatever that is...
