Farm (2009, lease, retiring)

Hi All. I was wondering if any one on here may know of someone who would have a farm or some farmland they would rent for the 2009 season and beyond. Share rent would be best. Even a chance for a lease purchase. I dont need a lot of acres to get started. I have been working off the farm for a few years and would like to get back into farming so I can relax a little bit. lol My son also wants to help on the farm. Any ideas would be helpful. I have been searching around but the big farming operations are gobbling it up so fast. I have access to machinery so thats not a problem. Thanks

No it doesnt really matter. Probably not interested in the sandhlls unless ther is irrigation. Thanks for the web page . I will check it out.

What type of equipment do you have? i.e. no till, cultivating, sileage, haying, dairy, grain handling etc.?
Experience and education in a resume will be vital also.
One good source might be NEBRASKA FARMER.
There are going to be a lot of farmers retiring and not having family to take over operations. However unless you can prove you are capable of doing the job you will have a difficult time finding land.

I have or have access to all the equipment I need. I do have an extensive resume and have over 30 years of experience of running my own operations and managing large operations from dairy, cattle, feedlots, and crops. Just looking for something so I can slow down a bit and be on my own again. I have checked into numerous papers and put out ads but to no avail. Thought I would try this route. I will keep my eyes open and try those routes again maybe toward the first of the year. Thanks for the help.
