Try zip code 68507... Some new homes and apartments in that area as well as some Christian schools.

I dont think looking in 68517 is even much of an option. It is pretty much rural area, and not much for options up there, north of Fletcher. Waverly would actually be really close if you look at the zip boundries, it extends east to N 120th street. It looks like it jogs south of Waverly. If you are talking about the Norvartis building, it is less than 5 min from Waverly, you wont be able to find anything in norteast Lincoln any close than that. Also Lincoln really isnt that bad, we live south of town and my wife works in northeast Lincoln, and she can still make it to work in a little over 20 min. People here think the other side of town is far away, depending on where your from in PA, you might agree or you might think they are crazy, the need to live in a city like Atlanta for a while, then they will understand what a long drive.

You pretty much can't lose with Nebraska schools no matter where in Lincoln you end up. When I was a kid we lived in southeast Lincoln (68506) for a while. I went to May Morley Elementary on 70th St. Even as young as I was, I could tell the difference between the cirriculum there and going to school in the Seattle area after moving there in 5th grade. You also have Holmes Park in that area too which is a great place to take the kids.

If you don't mind traveling a distance, there is a Montessori-based school in Roca, Nebraska, just south of Lincoln. Prairie Hill Learning Center is the first wind and solar powered school in Nebraska. It is on a farm that has horses, ponies, chickens, peafowl, ducks, and a sheep named Felix. The school is for preschoolers through 8th grade and is absolutely incredible. I know it's a ways from where you will be working, but people from Prairie Hill do carpool.
