Not suprised, when the research park gets going that will bring even more jobs to Lincoln.

I couldn't agree more, the research park will be a fine addition to the community, UNL, and the state.

Way to go Lincoln.

Don't tell that to the bleeding heart anti-UNL crowd!! UNL is the devil to 80% of the city...

Makes me sick, considering i have 2 degrees from UNL! I agree, the research park will be solid.

Yeah, I have never really gotten those people either. I can kinda understand some points, but what would Lincoln look like without UNL and all the jobs, student population and money it brings. Just Husker football Saturdays are a huge money deal for Lincoln, let alone all the other University aspects.

I guess I never heard of the anti-UNL crowd... What is their beef, anyway? Lincoln would be a shell of what it is now without the university.

I believe some of the beef is the the University has too much pull with the city and doesn't need to keep expanding out to more land. I think alot of it has to do with the State Fair issue and also the new arena they are talking about.

Sorry, I guess I'm out of the loop. Did they in some way help Lincoln lose the state fair?

Yes, because it was the University who wanted the State Fair land for the research park.
