Houses disappearing....
Been looking forward to going to McCook Ne in June for house hunting for future move and noticed in last week several houses have been sold.
Is this because someone knows something that is coming to area that housing will be needed? Or just taking advantage of low prices. We now are worried that we wont be able to find anything in our price range and will have to look elsewhere or even another state.

Maybe people want to live by you!
On a serious note, a lot of the more rural towns in NE have been growing lately, and several families could be relocating there because of the abundance of jobs in Rural NE.

Might just be a coincedence. The houses around the tri-cities area aren't flying off the market anyway.

I could not believe it. I have been hoping my grandparents house that was sold in 1995 would come up for sale again and saw in real estate section tonight that its for sale.
My grandparents lived in this home for 50+ yrs and saw pictures of it and talk about night and day appearances. This home was in mint shape inside and out and now looks like something from the slums in a large city. Sad how someone did not care enough to keep this home in good repair. I would love to buy it but looks like it would cost a fortune to get back to livable condition.
What makes people not give a D%$^& about their property?

That is too bad Bigg Mann. I have never understood why people can't take care of their property either.

Yes, it is a nice place to live. I have not lived there since 1983 but wife and I might retire there in near future if we can find right house at right price. We are on a minimum budget.

Good luck finding suitable housing in or near McCook. I live 20 miles away in a little town. Have you looked in Indianola, Bartley, Cambridge, Culbertson or Trenton?
