Default University of Nebraska-Lincoln: Opinions

I am thinking about going to UNL for a graduate degree and I wanted to hear some opinions. I really like the school's spirit, its football team, tuition is very reasonable and so far, the application process has been very easy and painless. Please, tell me all I need to know about UNL, did you enjoy going there, did you receive a quality education and does this school have a good reputation in other states?

I never went to UNL, but my father, mother, husband and many friends have.
Everyone I have ever known that went to UNL loved it, cherished it and now misses it. It's an amazing university in my opinion and has top of the line education.
As far as I know, UNL has an excellent reputation in other states. UNL is what puts Nebraska on the map, as far as I'm concerned.
Did you know that the Nascar barriers (the ones around the track to help prevent horrible accidents) were invented by UNL? Just a little tidbit for you.
Now, if we could get Matt on here, he'll be able to tell you everything you need to know about UNL. If I'm not mistaken, he went to college there and works there as well.
Matt? Matt? Where are you?

Republocrat,

I went to UNL for graduate school and really enjoyed. I would also add that the program i was in (physics - Ph.D.) is very well respected and its graduates do very well nationally.

That said, for a school like UNL its program dependent. Some programs are very top notch and then there are programs that aren't as strong. If I knew what program you were interested in I could probably give you more non-generic feedback.

Feel free to send me a PM if you don't want to post to the public board.

Matt
