York (storage, business, location)

why has York lost so much population over the past few years?

If I remember correctly they had a pretty big plant close up a few years ago.

What type of plant? Is anything great helping with the economy to replace this loss? I appreciate all your information.

Cold Storage just went out of business and champion is continually laying off people.

I did a search and it was a Tyson plant. As far as I'm aware there hasn't been another plant to come in and replace it. I wouldn't say York's economy is in the dumps by any means though. Their location on I-80 and U.S. 81 gives them alot of travel dollars.
