I LOVE the Crawford area - small town on the western panhandle. The housing is really reasonable there and it is BEAUTIFUL! Alot of retired people move there - they have an awesome golf course and alot of opportunity for hunting, fishing. It is about 1hr away from rapid city,sd and the black hills. I would definately live there if i could!!

My folks moved us from SE Nebraska to Cheyenne in 1960 and back to SE Nebraska 2&1/2 years later. They were early 40's then and thought they wanted to settle in a small town. Nebraska wages are less, and taxes are high plus we have state income tax. Humidity here is awful and we do have wind but it is usually green & lush around here and tornadoes are a fact of life. I have visited Wyoming many times and always say I would move back but now I am 51 & would have trouble finding a new career there. All things considered Nebraska is a good life!

It's not an issue with me, as long as it's not shoved down my throat...like religion or politics - tolerance...and thinking before speaking. I want to live where I can grow a garden, have a good circle of diverse friends, fish and take walks in peace. I definately don't want to be on someone's agenda to save or change...if they can't accept me - don't want them in my life.

Why not Nebraska? Maybe he did pick from a list of states and you just have an arrogant attitude towards this state based off of nothing factual..
