College town in summer? (Omaha, Lincoln: loft, live, bars)

So I'm going on a road trip across the US with three other guys at the end of the month. One of our stops will be Nebraska!

I was wondering whether there are any happening towns for early twenty somethings to go out in? Are any of the college towns fun at this time of year or do they all become ghost towns in the summer?

We're basically looking for somewhere lively where we can go out and meet some young Americans!

Check out the Old Market in Omaha. There are lots of fun bars there.

"O" st in Lincoln is bouncing about any night of the week. Plenty of places to hang out and meet folks.

If you are looking for a good central Nebraska drunk-fest, try Cunnigham's/The Loft in Kearney on Tuesday night. It is always packed with the college crowd looking to have fun, even in the summer time.
