Or are you planning on ending up in McCook?

Don't you know YOU CAN"T GO HOME according to Thomas Wolf(e) Fred? However I do want to get back to some of the fishing holes I fished as a kid. I figure McCook is ideal. There is an Amtrak station in McCook and a round trip ticket is only $33.00 with around four hours trip time back to Lincoln. I am pretty sure I will be buying property within a 75 mile radius of McCook so it looks like a good base of operations to work out of. The only thing that really concerns me is their library system. The Lincoln library system has spoiled me. I read constantly and I am afraid the collection in McCook just won't cut it. But I guess if am fishing as much as I hope to be I can cut back on my reading. You suppose?

JustMe_T3K is on a distinguished road
Check to see if the McCook Library is part of the state wide system.
I live in a town of 800 and have a great librarian and can get about anything
within a week.
Had her find the Walt Disney books Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain for
my son to read before the movie remake came out.
She got them both for me, each one coming from a different library in NE.

I had a change of plans. I found the perfect apartment here in Lincoln today at a great price. I guess the move to McCook will have to wait until next year. I also checked on AMTRAK ticket prices and a round trip ticket from Lincoln to McCook and back is only $33.00. Heck at that price I couldn't even make the trip on my motorcycle much cheaper. Six hundred miles/42MPG=14.25 gallons x $2.79 =$39.75.

In June the motorcycle would still be the first choice of transportation but in my old age I am getting soft and in November Amtrak sounds like the best way to go.

BTW JustMe your suggestion on inter library loans is a good one.
