Yes Fred it is difficult to know all 1.5 million Nebraskans personally but I would bet you I could go to any place in Nebraska except Lincoln or Omaha and talk to ten people and at least one of them would know someone I knew. Even more amazing is how many people I run into around the state that are shirttail relations.

Yeah, that *is* true.
The one that always cracks me up is that we move around the state (and even when we were in SD) and invariably, a neighbor, co-worker, etc. has worked on one of the ranches we've also worked on.

Here at Hayes Center, for example, our neighbor just to the south of us about half a mile not only worked for the same ranch we did, he also live in our house 60 miles away, down in the corner.
A neighbor a few miles to the north of us also lived in our house/worked on the same ranch we did near Dunning. lol

Even when we were in South Dakota (on the ND state line), one of the guys that worked on the same place we did had worked for the son of a guy we'd worked for down by Crawford.
