It's a really good place. Especially if you like craft brews...

My family moved to Lincoln from the Twin Cities recently. The restaurant scene is a little better than I thought it would be in Lincoln.

Blue Orchid is not closed, at least they weren't a few weeks ago. They said someone is spreading rumors about them. Try the Dish for interesting food. Prime Rib enchiladas from Lazlos are excellent. The Oven is good Indian.

Not wanting to perpetuate a rumor, you are in fact correct, the Blue orchid is not closed. My apologies.

Ya unfortunately, anything good in Lincoln gets support for like 2 years and then they go back to eating Valentino's or some other chain, which is a huge shame.

I think most of the older folk don't really know these places exist to appreciate them. And the college kids can't afford to eat at these places often enough for them to stay open I suppose.

Exception is places like yia yias, which is one of my favs. It's untouched by one specific type of visitor and a must-go place if your in Lincoln.

Haha, I guess the blue orchid is open, refering to the previous post. Still, I think the trend about good places lasting for a short time in lincoln still to be true.

We moved to Lincoln 18 months ago . All in all, food options are increasing. We've lived in major cities and Shanghai. So know options. Have you tried Daffodil? Absolutely wonderful food in a strip mall ( space is a bit cramped - Great Samples!) off Old Cheney ?58th? > Lebanese - Eastern European - some Northern Indian.
Hub Cafe is a Farm to table restaurant. Great location 21st & Q.
