Future Interstate Route I-31?

I was also indirectly referring to ag subsidies that go to those that own the absolute largest land holdings, but are not needed.

I know you were.

My point is that considering all the things that taxpayers are currently subsidizing, building an added leg to the interstate system, which will act to connect several mid-sized cities is one of the least wasteful options.

We don't know for sure if it's going to happen. It hasn't gotten the green light.

Well, if they were to build this, they should make a section of it an enormous elevated bridge with a fancy design. Then we could charge a toll, to cross it, Suttle would stay busy trying to find a loophole to tax it, and the surrounding area can build little shops, like the BFB (Big F-ing Bridge) shirt shack, or the BFB restaurant, and that will stimulate the economy!

Since the plans are already there to extend I-49 north from Shreveport to Kansas City, they may as well renumber the existing I-29 into I-49, or vice versa. Funny to think the numbering rule for interstates will be broken, regardless of what number is chosen when 49 is extended north to KC, and when 31 becomes an official interstate number.

Just gonna say, if an interstate went through Bismarck, Pierre, Norfolk, and Lincoln, the numbering rules say it should be numbered 27, but yes, the rules are broken all the time

Although never crossing the river, I-29 for all practical purposes serves Omaha, similar to how I-55 serves New Orleans despite ending dozens of miles away.
