I know. And I thanked you for that one. And I will continue to do so. I am looking into getting a Public Defender since I can't afford to get an attourney myself. I'll also be looking into anything else I can do. But that part I will be discussing with the P.D.

Thanks again.

Just thought I should fill you guys in on what happened today at my court appearance. On count one (which is technically the second offense) of D.U.S. I plead guilty and got a fine ($100 + court costs $44 = $144). I plead innocent to the (first offense) counts of D.U.S. and Reckless Driving. I have trial on April 15. I'm going to be talking to my public defender tomorrow. I'm hoping the judge will allow my witnesses, if the cop even shows up... and with any luck, I'll get off.

Just to reiterate, I have learned the lesson here, and there won't be any more "stupid stunts" from me.

Ok, well it's been a while since I posted. I got the reckless plead down to careless and guilty to the D.U.S. With those added to my oh so nice record I got 12 points and my license is now revoked for 6 months. YAY ME!!! I'm so pissed about that. Oh well. Learned the lesson. I'm NOT going to be driving til I get the SR22 and my Work Permit.

When I was living in Omaha (council bluffs) I got pulled over in Missouri (on way back from KC on I-29) And I too was cited for driving on a suspended license... But mine was a technicality... I had been suspended in California for lapse of insurance because I had SR-22 but I had just bought a new car and new insurance policy on the car, but California was taking their sweet time processing the SR-22 since it was coming from Iowa... So technically it shouldn't have even been suspended anymore since i bought insurance but because of the bureaucratic California DMV it was still listed as suspended...

Anyway the officer gave me a ticket for like $80 and then he was like "I'm not gonna leave y'all stranded out here in the middle of no-where, I'm gonna turn back around and once I'm out of sight y'all can do what you want." And he did just that, he drove across the grass dividing the freeway and drove off in the opposite direction and then after a minute we drove off too and made it back to Omaha with no more problems... A couple weeks later I got a letter from CA DMV stating that my license was no longer suspended... LOL I still paid the $80 though...

Missouri must go easy on people as far as traffic violations go!

I have lived out of Nebraska now for 4 years and have never been pulled over or ticketed in CA or AZ. I drive 10-15 miles over the speed limit with the rest of the traffic, going to work and on my way home. It is amaizing how moving out of the Rural areas, the freedom that you have when driving. I mean, in the small towns of NE I grew up in it was an average of 1 cop to 20 people. Well that is what is seemed like. lol. It has it's advantages and disadvantages, I guess. Here you might have the feedom of not getting pulled over but you are never alone on the rode. It is like driving in Mexico. There is no slow lane or fast lane, everyone is driving at all speed limits, weaving in and out of lanes.... I went from small town to LA and downtown Phoenix so I underwent dramatic change. I could go on and on with the dramatic differences.
