Did I miss the "bigotry" and "name calling"? I didn't see anyone on this post name-calling, or did I miss something?
Too funny that some of you think I'm racist since I disagree with affirmative action. I'm probably the least racist person you'll ever meet. I just think everyone should stop complaining and looking for hatred and just worry about themselves and their own family. If everyone in America were to take responsibility for themselves, we would have an even better country!

Racechick,

My comments were mostly referencing Dee's comments. From the looks of it those comments he/she made have been deleted. They were referencing a bowl of "brown rice" and something associated to "speaking English". Then the person goes onto say that she doesn't believe "white people" would be racist. Anyway, it looks like his/her original post has been pretty much cut up by the moderators, so you wouldn't be able to read those comments.

I'm not suggesting that because you disagree with affirmative action that you're a racist. I have issues with affirmative action as well...I don't necessarily think you can correct discrimination and prejudice with state sanctioned prejudice. However, affirmative action is an effort to correct past wrongs that have affected entire races within the U.S. It can't be judged on an individualized basis. Also, the topic of illegal immigration didn't have anything to do with Oneperson's issues with racial tensions that she's experienced. I just felt it was kind of a low blow. Maybe i misinterpreted it though...if I did...sorry.

Maybe racechick's comments are just uninformed then. To suggest there is no racism in the US and that everyone is "overexaggerating" is at a minimum naive. Just read some of the threads in these forums and see what kind of race issues exist.

Dee62's comments about brown rice and speaking English have not been deleted. They are on page 2 of this thread sandwiched between Racechick's post and lululoo's and my bet is that anyone who reads Dee62's post can see the hatred, bigotry and name calling contained therein. In fact, lululoo's post points to them quite clearly.

"As part of my job I lived for 5 years in Mexico and was treated fine by everyone down there."

[This is a total hijack, but this thread has fallen apart anyway, so I proceed] Mexico is a beautiful country with some of the warmest, friendliest and most venomously racist people in this hemisphere. I don't know what it is, but man, it ranges from amusing to downright chilling.

Funny:
To be asian in Mexico is to be "chino' which means Chinese. Waste all the breath you want telling people that you're actually Korean, Japanese, whatever... in Mexico you're Chinese. Get used to it.

Mexicans are very proud of their Native history and heritage. Do not, however, suggest or imply to any individual that they have any indian blood flowing through them, or you may get punched.

Not Funny:
To be black in Mexico, or to be black in heavily Mexican neighborhoods in the US. Imagine the 1930s American South, not the laws and such, but rather the attitudes of the average Joe.

So where were we about Omaha?

Actually, if you go back and read Dee's post, she is accusing oneperson of being a fraud, which I might have to agree with. He/She has such outrageous stories that they're hard to believe.

I read the post and am so dense that I failed to realize that Dee is accusing Oneperson of being a fraud, but Dee as far as I am concerned her language is still inappropriate. Although we may have our suspicions about people who post message on this board, it is somewhat presumptuous to assume that the someone is a fraud, especially when one has no reliable proof. Anyone of us could be a fraud, so it is best to assume that we are who we present ourselves as on this message board. One way to deal with people one considers fraudulent is to simply ignore them. But I don't think it was appropriate for Dee to use terms such as "brown rice," that is clearly a bigoted term. Lacking any proof to the contrary, I am afraid that I will have do disagree with both Dee and your conclusion that oneperson is a fraud as I find the stories plausible.

racechick-

I don't know why it is so hard for you to believe that any racist problems can get out of control and even worst leads to murder. Look, you must have known about the KKK clan and other racist clan I don't know about ( I know there's of blacks, latino , asian and etc.),but look at how much they have hatred for the other race. If there are people like that there is sure to be problems. Anyway look at how gay mens and woman get harass. Same situation, things like these happened and you wouldn't think so. Just because it hasn't happened to you or you haven't seen of it doesn't mean it's nonexistance.
I would not waste my time pretending to be someone and come on here to say such a thing. That would be pretty stupid and lowlife of me. I was searching for answers about what some people online had to say about asian's All the things I said on my post is of my expereience .But believe what you want.

Yes, Dee was calling oneperson a fraud. However, that doesn't give her/him a greenlight to start spitting out racist declarations. Why can't Dee simply call Oneperson a fraud??

And the contention that Oneperson's accusations are "outrageous" simply doesn't hold water. Maybe the person is a fraud and maybe they aren't. But her stories were not of a ridiculous nature. She was talking about every day occurrences that happen across the U.S. on a daily basis. Why is it so hard to believe that a worker at a store would tail a minority because he/she is prejudice?? Do you really think its far fetched that a group of kids would mock and imitate native asian language?? Seriously...I have witnessed both of these things first hand. And I'm willing to bet you have too...maybe not with an asian indiviual, but how about someone of Latino descent?

I guess my point is that I have no doubt that this behavior occurs in Omaha, but my overall claim still stands...I don't think its any worse or better in Omaha than anywhere else in the U.S.

Recent evidence proves Whites where the Original Inhabitants of North America! Unfortunetely this information has been squashed by the Liberal educational establishment because Big Corporations lobby US Government Legislators. Secondly Both the Government and Corporations give money to Colleges, Universitys and secondary school districts. The Result of Big Business and its Lobbying efforts has allowed organized crime syndicates to receive tax breaks by operating Gambling Casinos on American Indian Reservations. Indian Reservations by treaty are separate Nations which are exempt from US tax laws!

This is proven by The 1996 discovery in Kennewick of the nearly complete skeleton of a 9,300-year-old man with "apparently Caucasoid" features! There are no remains of todays American Indians/Native Americans that are older than 5,000/6,000 years.. They are late arrivals.

Your thread and posts prove that you have a personal hatred of Whites and mistrust of people that are your own racial ancestry! Concerns of harassment against gays is proof to all post readers that you are also insecure with your ownself! Just because the Media presents the KKK in a negative light does not mean it is a personal threat to you or anybody else who is nonwhite. First of all The KKK is not active in the United States today. But you would never know this because Liberal educators communist propagandists and the Media have brainwashed guilt conscious whites and low functioning non-whites like yourself into believing that the Klan is something to be concerned about. You should be well aware the Blacks hispanics and asians were not the most hated people of the Ku Klux Klan. Traditionally the biggest targets of the Klan activity were Jews and Catholics That is Eastern and Southern European immigrants who were brought here to cut labor costs.

M. William Lutholtz, whose book Grand Dragon: D.C. Stephenson and the Ku Klux Klan in Indiana detailed the life of the Klan leader, Catholics, Jews and blacks became the target of the Klan here. But it was Catholics who drew the most attention.
Lutholtz noted there were about 32,000 Catholics in the city of Indianapolis. "It was commonly believed that Catholics owed their first loyalty to the pope in Rome, not to the president of the United States."
Many Midwesterners believed Catholics were just waiting for orders from the pope to revolt and claim the country for the church of Rome, he said.
