There is a low turnout expected. Somewhere around 15%. I just think there is a lack of information about the Primary. Maybe if there was some kind of heads up, or warning, or information about it, people would head to the polls.

All I know is that it's Tuesday May 11th, yes tomorrow.

But what are the details?
What are we voting for?
Who are we voting for?
How do we find information about the candidates?
How do we know where our polling place is?

Anyone have more details?

Do a GOOGLE search for "sample ballot (County?).Most but probably not all counties will have a website showing it. Some newspapers publish sample ballots a few days before the elections. PLEASE do us all a favor. If you do not understand an issue on the ballot or if you do not know anything about the candidates on the ballot DO NOT VOTE on that issue/office. A W.A.G. is the worst thing you can do.

The media is a bit crazy on this. I keep seeing articles/stories on how low the turnout is expected to be, but little to no information on what is being voted on, the candidates, the position of the candidates, etc.

Should be a thrilling day tomorrow...

I have found alot of candidates have websites and also seem to be using Facebook to update folks - I have a number of the candidates Facebook Fan Pages so I monitor what they say.

If in the Omaha metro here are several places to get info:
Independent Vote Guide with candidate information in their own words (unedited)
Nebraska Voters Information for political election and ballot information

OWH summary of Sarpy candidates with links to websites if they have them
2010 Sarpy County Election Candidates - Omaha.com

OWH summary of Douglas candidates with links to websites if they have them
2010 Douglas County Election Candidates - Omaha.com

OWH summary of Statewide races
2010 Statewide Election Candidates - Omaha.com

With just a little bit of effort I have been able to find out stuff about most every race I'm interested in.
