Hey everyone I an going to buy some raw land an build a off grid shack. For a few years it will be raw land... Can I have a car registered in NV to the raw land. I will live in california though.


in cali 1975 an older are smog expemt. How bout NV

In Clark County and Reno any car younger than 1968 require smog checks.

Regarding registration, some people register their auto using a po box in a non smog area, and use an address gotten out of a phone book for a physical address.

That is illegal, but it is done.

If your raw land has a street address, you could use it.

But, much of the raw land in Nevada is dry dusty alkalai windsept swamp when wet sagebrush flats.

Remember, if the land has not been developed by now, there is a reason for it.

Right now I am looking at Crescent Valley area around Winnemucca, NV an Elko NV.


I would like to go the Utah ,Azornia Nevada Border I would like some raw land I don't care if I have to drive on a dirt road for 30 miles.

I want to by 1 to 5 arce's I want to Build a shack/shed. I want to haul in water about 2500 or 5000 gallons on water... NO septic tank I want a compost toilets. ?? home dept. bucket an saw dust... I want solor panel's

I will keep the place clean an not make a mess I am thinking if I put the shed on a harbor freight trailer I might be able to get around some of the rules

I would to like to do this on the cheap.. Good deal on land spend less than 5 k max on land

Were is a good area to to do this I except pms also

Please help me save a lot of heartache and lost money I don't have a lot to lose.

NV DMV no longer accepts PO addresses or addresses that CAN NOT BE PROOVED or Verified by 3 pieces of ID/Mail.

Darn, I guess they got tired of me hoodwinking them. Ok, Plan B, make friends with someone in the hinterland, and use their address.
