Great Basin National Park, again brought to you by Harry Reid, in addition to all the freeways you in Las Vegas use, and the obnoxious but necessary 395 work in Carson/Reno.

His ability to bring home the pork for you Nevadans, has improved the lives of each and every one of you.

So, vote him out, replace him with someone with no power, no clout, and no one crazy enough to give her any.

PT Barnum said one could never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
I suspect the majority of Nevadans willing to sell their vote to the highest bidder are already planning to vote for Reid.

People are sheep and Dems will vote for anyone who has D on their ticket while Republicans are just as bad. This lady however, is going to be a big embarrassment for Nevada.
That sure is a weird Angle.

If Sharron Angle is elected in Nevada... I will have to cancel any plans to visit Las Vegas for the next six years.

I'll stay closer to home and the Indian Casinos. We love Las Vegas, but we will not spend our money in a State that would elect a crazy like Angle.

Sorry.

How quaintly naive. Politicians throughout the history of this nation bring home the pork, that is how they get reelected. To think this is some oddity, or the province of only a few politicians is naive at best, and at worst demonstrates a lack of understanding of how politics works and has worked in the history of this nation. Nevada has done well in the pork barrel race because it has had congressmen who achieved positions of power, McCarren, Cannon, Laxalt, Gibbons, Reid are just the more modern ones.

I suggest some reading on the political history of this state.

A state that has 2 or 3 Representatives is at a huge political disadvantage compared to more populous states, why do you think the Nuclear waste suppository is to be placed here instead of on the Canadian shield in upper Michigan which would hold it safe for 10,000 years.

Having powerful Senators is in Nevada's interest, electing a powerless Senator over the most powerful Senator in Congress is an act akin to political suicide.

Those who will vote for Angle over Reid, will vote their feelings, not votes based on facts, but, the entire conservative movement has the emotions of a little girl.

How predictably condescending.

Continually reelecting a politician that does not represent your beliefs based on nothing other than what they can or can't deliver to the state is one of many reasons the nation is in it's current condition.

There is a substantial difference between voting your beliefs and convictions vs voting feelings.

Reid's agenda and voting record are unacceptable to many Nevadans. Were they not he wouldn't be in serious danger of losing his seat.

Attempting to appeal for votes based on what he can deliver as opposed to what he stands for is further evidence of his tenuous position.

The fact that you seem to feel the need to hurl insults like "naive" and "emotions of a little girl" highlights your desperation.

Reid's agenda and voting record are unacceptable to many Nevadans who get their twisted news from FOX.

Reid is pretty darned middle of the road.

Naive is not an insult, it is a statement based on your lack of understanding of the political process.

"Emotions of a little girl" is also a statement of fact. If you take any position expressed by any conservative on any issue, it is a position based on emotion and belief, not on any known form of rational or logical thinking.

You have done exactly this, in thinking that Reid is somehow "leftist" or some other nonsense, one demonstrates that point clearly.

In point of fact, a conservative point of view is based on fear. If you look at all the claptrap put out by conservatives, regarding Reid, Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, liberals, etc, is all fear based.

I like these words of Sinclair Lewis, " When Fascism comes, it will come wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross". You can see that in every "tea bagger" or conservative presentation.

Your view of politics could not possibly be any more myopic. Implying that only liberal viewpoints have any validity clearly illustrates this.

Enjoy your biased version of reality. I'm not going to waste any more time arguing with a zealot.

Conservatives in America do not operate from principles or an intellectual basis. Perhaps they used to, but no longer.
I am at this moment, sitting in a hotel in Paris, having just come up from the Pyrenees. I talked with many during our activities, French farmers, very conservative, and a few British retirees, including one Special Branch, again, very conservative, but thoughtfully so, and they cannot believe what they hear about the conservative movement in America.

These opinions are not those of liberals, but of conservatives, they are astounded that conservative Americans can support men and women of little intellectual thought, of no intellectual underpinnings to their positions, but instead repeat, nearly in unison ideas and positions that are easily proven to be factually false, and will follow leaders of no ability, and no intellectual activity at all.

Now, my on position is different. I do not believe that Conservatives have ever done anything that was good for America, and in fact have opposed everything good for America including the creation of the United States of America.

A few Progressive accomplishments for you.
The successful war to separate from Britain
The Constitution
The canal system
The Coast Guard
Lighthouses and navigation aids
The successful prosecution of the Civil War and the retention of the United States (which I think was a mistake, I think the Confederacy should have been allowed to leave the Union, it was the Conservatives who supported the breaking up of the Nation and the continuation of slavery, they should have been allowed to stew in their own pot).

National Parks
National Forests
Game refuges
The trans continental railroad
The successful initiation and prosecution of the American involvement in World War 2.

You need to know, but you won't admit, that this is a liberal republic, founded on liberal ideas.

And that everything good about this country, came from liberals, now, if you wish to argue this, feel free, but, you will lose the argument.

As I said, zealot. Thanks for illustrating my point.
