Question Searchlight, NV: house or cabin rental?

Hello. I'm a published writer interested in renting a cabin or small house in the Searchlight area. I've lived in the desert outside of Tucson, AZ, hauled my own water, and don't mind something "primitive." Would anyone here know of something like this? If so, what on the average could I expect to pay as rent? Thank you.

Hi there fellow desert rat!

Yes, there are rental properties in Searchlight, there just has never been anyone who wanted to manage them, and as part of my license I am also a Certified Property Manager.

I know of several vacant homes, both stick-built and manufactured that are for sale, but where there is a good likelihood of a 1 year lease, but I doubt they would be willing to do a monthly lease. I think they would probably in the $900/month range, but if you do not have a family, they are probably bigger than you would need. If you are not looking for something for at least a year with several bedrooms, would you be willing to consider a smaller trailer? I also know that the only laundromat in Searchlight is for sale. It would produce an income of about $2,000 per month with very little effort, or the current managers who live next door could be retained. A small trailer could be put on the lot next to the building. Moderator cut: soliciting info deleted

Default Rentals in searchlight

Sharon,

You stated that you know of rentals, can you provide any details or contact information. I have a family and I am working on a construction project for the next two years and would like a common spot to relocate that is not in the suburbia of Las Vegas.... please let me know.

Why would you believe that Searchlight is not a suburb of Las Vegas? There is no where else to go for heavy shopping or medical. Pahrump in Nye County would be more free of the Vegas influence...though I think anything in Nevada below say Beatty is suburban Las Vegas.
