I'm headed to Klamath Falls OR., in June 2011.

I will be on I-80 to Winnemucca NV.

How long a drive on NV 140 (hrs), to OR state line?

What is the overall condition of the HWY. (NV 140)?

Thank You
Ken Scott
Deland, FL.

The drive from Winnemucca to the Oregon line is about 142 miles so at about 65-70 MPH, it will be just over a 2-hour drive.

Winnemucca to Klamath Falls is about 365 miles using that route and will take a little over 5 hours.

NV-140 isn't a bad road. It's maintained relatively well and has adequate shoulders. However, it is very desolate (like a lot of Nevada's 2-lane highways) so be prepared in case of a break-down, etc. But you indicate that you'll be driving it in June so there may be more traffic on the road than in January.

It's covered by the Google Street View so you can take a look for yourself how the road appears and the scenery you'll be driving through.

That's the "Winnemucca to the Sea" route:
