Need Information about Mesquite Divorced Middle-aged
I'm not sure if I have selected the correct forum, I'm sure someone will let me know.
I am in the midst of getting a divorce. I am in my mid-40's, and am male. I am a certified high school teacher and am halfway through a graduate degree in Library Science.
My wife and I did not have any children. When my divorce is final, I will be free to move anywhere I choose. I have been looking at the Mesquite, Nevada area. My main aim for moving to Mesquite is to live somewhere where it is sunny most days year 'round, be part of a small/medium town atmosphere and just start over and live life. I would like to hear from people who either currently live there, or have recently moved.
What can you tell me about this town? For example, how is the economy, for someone such as myself to start over? How are housing prices, etc? Most of this information can be found on the Internet, but I would like to hear from individuals who actually have experienced living in Mesquite, not outdated, or what may be unreliable information someone has posted.
I might not teach in the future but obviously do have transferable skills. What types of employment opportunities are available?
