Generally, Direct TV would win, but in this case, Dish Network wins (I'm guessing you mean Elko not Elmo). Elko is in the Salt Lake City DMA which is geographically one of the largest in the US. Direct TV doesn't have local channels in HD in most of it because their HD spotbeam only really covers the Wasatch front area. I believe you can still get HD locals as far as Wendover, but in Elko the SLC area channels wont be in HD. Dish Network has the Salt Lake locals on a nationwide HD spotbeam, so you can get the locals in HD in Elko. Of course, you can always go with an Antenna to get HD local networks in Elko (I think you can get a couple of SLC channels and a few Reno channels in addition to KNEV in HD with an antenna in Elko). If you want NFL Sunday Ticket or the MLB package, Direct TV will be your only choice. Dish network tends to run a little cheaper, but really I think it's pretty much a wash package for package between the two.

Take a look at Frontier's combo offerings for landline, internet, satellite packages as well as looking at those from the satellite providers. They often offer packages that save decent amounts of money for the duration of the commitment.

Offers of all the major providers are constantly changing. There is minimal difference between the services they offer. Pick the offer that best fits your needs at the time you want it.
