Well, I'm not exactly sure how it works, take a number or does everyone line up?

In either case, any idea if they'd balk at 2 people using the same number (if it's take a number) or both going to the 'next available' window?? I had a problem with this once in California.. so I figured I'd ask. We'd be doing the same things, transferring drivers licenses and titles/registration from out of state. As the vehicles will be in both of our names, I'd think we'd have to do this together anyway....

Sometimes government agencies are crazy in weird ways.. thus the question..

Thanks!

Your first stop in the DMV is at the information window, so just ask them. But I think it's OK if you both have the same number. They are pretty accommodating. Our DMV people are normally really nice, and they try to take care of you as fast as possible. Their system is pretty good.

Here's the DMV site: Note there is a chart near the top of the page that gives wait times at various offices. Decatur Blvd., Sahara Ave., Flamingo Rd., and Henderson are ours (obviously you wouldn't drive 440 miles to Reno or Carson City). The Decatur office is the preferred one right now. Looks like the Flamingo office has been "discovered", but the Henderson office has the longest wait. Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles Official Site - www.dmvnv.com

Just realized this is on the Nevada page. I was assuming you were in Las Vegas where I am. The system should be standard throughout the state though.

Thanks for the info.. I wasn't aware there was an 'information booth'. I think that answers my question.. presumably if we have all our ducks in a row (vin inspections done on vehicles, etc.) we should have a smooth process.
