Why would you want to register it? No one else in Nevada does.

Doesn't Clark county have some idiotic registration requirement?

It might, I betcha most handgun owners in Clark County have not registered their handgun. The reason for the registration was to cure a particular problem, which no longer exists.

Under federal law you maybe should not have it, if you do live in a part of Nevada that requires some type of registration, I’d wait until age 21 (keep it in a box under your bed).

Where do you live. Unless you live in Clark or Washoe you might not have to register it. Call your local sheriff's office and ask. This pertains to Clark County and doesn't mention age. Since you are old enough to get a hunting license you should be old enough to own a gun in any county. LVMPD > Permits > Firearms Registration

NV does not require registration, Washoe county does not either. You can voluntarily register firearms but why would you?

According to the Washoe County Sheriffs website: Washoe County Sheriff's Office - Northern Nevada's Full Service Law Enforcement Agency

Nevada law does not require that guns be registered. There is no charge for registration of your gun. You must supply the gun's make, model, and serial number.
