I am really sorry to hear that man.
I know you and your wife are only a few years older than me, so that is not right. This is what I could find:
Breast cancer support group meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite 300, Henderson. Meetings also take place at noon on the first and third Monday of the month on the San Martin Campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospital, 8280 W. Warm Springs Road (616-4900, 869-4813).

As a word of encouragement, breast cancer has made tremendous strides in the past five years, and the survival rate is exceptionally high. In fact, I just read on the plane yesterday in the Sky magazine they have on planes about all the recent improvements in treating breast cancer. So don't get yourself worked up. Chances are very good that she will survive it and go on to live a long life.

Do you have medical insurance, Airics? I ask because most policies have an out-of pocket limit. The costs seem astronomical, but if you hit the limit, they typically pay 100% after that.

Presuming she goes into the normal course of treatment it is the treatment sites that have all the infrastructure contacts. Nevada Cancer Center or Comprehensive Cancer Center or such. Normally that occurs after intrusive stuff like surgery or heavy radiation. Virtually all have some social worker set up to help with financials and the basic ugliness.
My next treatments are July 11th on...I will shake them down for all the good inside literature. I also have a good female friend going through this the hard way and will be glad to make a contact if your wife would like. This lady has a good shot at ending up a Clark County Commissioner or such if she can beat the disease into submission.
Extend to your wife my heartfelt sympathies and a welcome to one of the worlds most alive communities. You really haven't lived until you been shot at for real...
