Well, my family is sick of the new town we just move to in Clarksville Tn. Just a few months ago we were in love with our home-town of Chicago. Due to unfortunate events we had to relocate to a cheaper area.Yet,We are looking for a change. So i'm just very interested about moving to Nevada. I'm looking for:
-Affordable($0-$75,000) -Fun(At least one thing for my two teenagers to do) -Available jobs -Nice weather(Not a must, but would be nice.) **Please not a run-down area Though I do understand with our low-income we can't get a fancy home with all the works. I just want a decent area that my family can call home. Please reply if you have any suggestions. And, Thank you =] |

You could always move to the manufactured home section of Spring Creek, (next to Elko) they have 1+ acre lots and a place can be had for under 75,000, plenty of jobs at the mines and railroad, lots of teens around and things to do. Can get a little cold in the winter though.

You would have to do a manufactured home, perhaps older one, for the price you specified. See the thread about what's not to like in NV. Nevada is slammed up against CA, with very, very expensive real estate.
Available jobs - you have two options - Reno or Vegas. Carson City is possible -but housing anywhere along the CA border is pricey. Fun stuff for teenagers? Live near Tahoe and go snowboarding, if you can afford it. Watch out for gangs and Meth. Join the ROTC - as all other young people seem to be. Nice weather? Hmm, hot, hot summers and cold winters? To find nice weather stick around So. Nevada or Reno. 90+ summers and single digit winters, common. Not much rain. I can't wait to leave, does it show? |
