Hello, I am considering move to Lake Tahoe area. Just for the sake of saving some money on Income Tax is it good idea to Nevada's side of the border?

In general, is Nevada less bureaucratic than California?

It's the difference between Communist Russia and Great Britain, but I'd look into whether you still have to pay the Socialist Republik of Kalifornia income tax if you live in Nevada and work in California. Hard to believe anyone would have to ask that question, but yes, it is much cheaper to live in Nevada; and if you look at our libertarian lifestyle, you'd see it is one of the last bastions of freedom in the U.S. But we are quickly losing that freedom to carpet bagger politicians that come here and think we need new laws. The only new law we need is one that says, if you pass a new law, it can't restrict our people like the anal other states do, and you have to cancel an old law at the same time.

depends on how much money you make. If you're in the top bracket it would be worth it.

You pay income tax where the money is earned. If you're going to be physically working in California, then you're still required to pay California income tax, and living in Nevada won't do you any good financially.
