Also consider what jurisdiction you'd be living in - City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas or Unicorporated Clark County. In my opinion The City of Henderson is the best run local government in the state.

Henderson is OK but nothing exceptional. I personally prefer Clark County which has lower taxes and tends to be more permissive.

Good points thanks!!

Still looking at home prices around those areas. I am still living in Thailand with our land here for sale. Once we return we will dig more.

Wow almost a year and a half since this thread, time sure flies!!

I know prices continued to rise in the LV area so any new comments? Sold the land here so will be returning in the next month, or so.

Did you decide to relocate to Vegas? If so I am curious to learn what area and how you came about making the choice you did...I have friends who are in the same decision process, and I don’t know enough to give them the right options 89044 seems great, 89139 seems more bang for the buck , and 89052 are the only areas I’m familiar with..

Haven't moved yet, waiting to sell our house in Thailand

Inspirada is a nice family-oriented area. We bike through there every now and then. Seems quite nice. It isn't for everyone; the average lot size is definitely on the smaller size.
