Default infrastructure in Sandy Valley?

I just landed a job in Primm, and I was debating looking for a place in Sandy Valley to get more of the feel of a real city, as opposed to the employee housing in Primm, and wanted to know what Sandy Valley has by way of: Fast food? Grocery story? Diners? Movie rentals? Who provides gas or electric services? Any cable available? How's cellular coverage and will I need to trade my phone for a landline? Anything else you think might help me make an informed decision. Oh. And I have to have high-speed internet. Do they have that in Sandy Valley?

From what I hear, there isn't much of anything in Sandy Valley. I think you are lucky to have a small grocery store..i don't even know if they have that. Your best bet is to come to Las Vegas for shopping like everyone else does from that area. Or just live near the south end of Las Vegas by Interstate 15 and drive the 20 mins to Primm.

Last time I was in Sandy Valley (@ 9yrs ago) there was nothing. It is further from Vegas than Primm and the area is very remote.
You have to get off the main interstate (15), drive some ways then drive through a mountain range before you even get there. If I were you, I would definitely stay in Primm. You will not get "a feel of a real city" living all the way out there and believe me it is WAY OUT there.

One bar....three restaurants. A general store...that is it. Nearest gas is Jean. Locals mostly fill up in Las Vegas.

It is a great place...but it is rural Nevada. Has an airport where you can keep you plane at home.

A little over 2,000 people. Very rural. If you want urban you need to come in to Las Vegas.
