Im looking to buy a property in the Pleasant Valley area of town. Ive done my homework, i love the quality of Lennar homebuilders, and their NextGen sweets. My question is are there any other internet service providers besides the criminal Suddenlink crooks ? VEA claims they do not have fiber in that area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's likely to be a last mile microwave ISP available there, if not they'd be the only Nevada area outside Vegas without one ha ha.

I'm talking the one where the signal is beamed from a microwave site on a near-ish hill or tower, received by a small dish antenna on your house. We use one currently where we live.

My provider is in Lyon County, Preferred Networks, but it's probably someone different down there. These companies are usually small outfits that buy fast speed internet access from a major fiber provider with access to an existing mountaintop antenna farm or multi-user antenna tower, then they set up the hardware to beam the signal from there, and then sell it as well as the home antenna and modem kits to downstream users. Sort of like a cellular service reseller except for home internet.

To be clear I'm not saying this is bad, just like the mobile phone service reseller they fill an obvious niche. Much of the rural west would be left without internet service or stuck with no competition if it wasn't for these small market services using last mile microwave. I have only small complaints about mine. The bandwidth is plenty for what we need, but it is more expensive that most people in the US pay, probably $15-25/month more. Until they upgraded some infrastructure last year we had hours of outages every month, but now I can say we don't have outages at all unless the power goes out

internet providers in pahrump:

valley electric
https://valleycom.com/

rise
https://www.risebroadband.com/

lv.net
https://www.lv.net/

fiber to the home is available in very few locations in town (mtn falls, parts of artesia). everything else is going to be broadband. stay away from hughesnet (terrible customer service)
