The vast majority of bars and taverns in LV do not own the slots in their businesses, and hold no gaming license. Most are on a split with a route operator who holds a gaming license and provides slots, maintenance, etc. The route operator, and license holder, such as Terribles, United, etc, stand to lose much more by non-compliance. In my opinion, Terribles has become a victim of their own standards of compliance----EVERY Terribles location will demand ID for any purchase of tobacco or alcohol----regardless of customers age.

Anti-smoking "industry"???? What industry???? How many billions does it make compared to oh, say the tobacco industry? It's not an industry, it's a movement of people sick of being forced to inhale concentrated toxins that others thoughtlessly put into their airstream.

Yes, there are toxins everywhere, that's no justification for adding more, just the opposite.

Forget your personal opinion and look at the big picture. Government control. They are just sugarcoating the non smokers into thinking they care about their health. They do not. They would shut down the tobacco industry and then they would not have to worry about bans, would they? They, and everyone else, would have to worry how to make up for the lost tax revenue that smokers create. Just think how big the ripple effect would be--we would lose billions, from the tobacco industry and all it employs, to the drs that take care of all those ill from the effects of it, to your little Susie who just became a medical asst and cannot find a job anymore, to the medical supply co. that won't need to sell certain supplies for all those cancer patients, major losses in pharmacy...list goes on and on.

You really think the government cares?

And you pat the government on the back for throwing in a little ban? Don't kid yourself, it is not for you or your children.

I'm still amazed at how defensive smokers get over this. You're right to kill yourself does not supercede everyone elses right to breath clean air.
Like it or not Nico Nazis, but we will still smoke in bathrooms, and where we are allowed to get away with it.

We will lie, cheat, and steal to get our ciggs

We will not go outside to smoke (I dont go outside now.. I just use a restroom to smoke)

Nope.. you have no right to be in places where people smoke. You dont like it? Tough.. this is Nevada.. not Kalifornistan.

Actually its not holding at all in Rural Nevada.

Just in Clark county.

Take a trip around Nevada and look at how many ashtray are out where they are not supposed to be.

There is more to Nevada then Las Vegas.

You delusional? The arrivals in NV come from CA and the midwest. The only likely change is more teeth. And the propensity of a number of violators to be obvious about it just increases the liklihood of that happening .

Geez you sound kinda ummmmm.....

ADDICTED ?

It is so sad that a silly disgusting thing like a cancer stick can control you so hard.

How should your family describe your cause of death?
Was it suicide, murder, an accident or stupidity?

How about:
Death by Smoking?

You may want to attempt to explain it your family now. It might make a needless death, and their coming belief that you loved one chemical more than them. It is easier to accept once you're gone. Which cigarette in which pack will contain the irritant that gives birth to that first cancerous cell, to the first diseased cell, or that pulls the death's trigger in producing a massive stroke or heart attack?

Soon when Clark County figures out how to enforce a law that they enacted, they will put some teeth into enforcing it. And do you think people will have any problem ratting on you sneaking smoke in the bathroom? Your days are numbered.
