The proximity to Lake Tahoe is a real plus in addition to all the outside recreational activities.
But Carson would have the most people with congestion and traffic.

I personally find Fallon depressing but it might be small and isolated enough to be perfect for you Nowhere. If we all liked the same thing it would be boring).

That's where the Top Gun base is located.

I know it is. I had a friend in a nursing home there and went weekly for 18 months. I know many people love small towns but they just aren’t for me.

I lived in one in upstate New York when my kids were little for 2 years. It really got old having to drive a distance for everything you needed. Difficult to change jobs if you wanted to. I raised my kids mostly in a town of 90k and that was much better as I was close to everything. However, choices were limited there also. I moved to Nevada for my career which wasn’t teaching. Teaching was my part time retirement gig.

I see. Well we don't have kids and will be retired once we decide exactly where we move to. We just want to get away from all forms of traffic, traffic congestion and signals. Requirement of privacy and quiet.

I am retired but I like being close to everything. I also enjoy having a variety of options for entertainment. If I get so I can’t drive I could take the bus where I live.

I stay away from public transportation especially now and since we have the most infested public transportation there is which is unreliable with lots of sick and crazy/criminals riding.
