With the Ginger vs. Mary Ann question...I always chose Mary Ann.

Clearly a Califorian. And this one likely prefers Idaho.

Takes all kinds.
Well stated - On other threads there is a heated debate from Californians VS. Montanans - The Montanans are sick of their state being "Californicated" by runaway Californians seeking to leave behind the mess they've created. Here in Nevada, the experience in my area is that Californians really, really enjoy themselves by the truckloads - overcrowding Lake Meade on weekends and holidays.

Default Goodbye Las Vegas

We have lived her since 7 months and we are happy that we are leaving in 2 days. It is hot, dusty, hot, dusty and not much to do when you have a puppy and can't get out of the house during the day (we live in an apartment complex) and even when the sun is down you only go out because you love your Labrador puppy and she loves to play with other dogs. Otherwise if you are not a gambler and are not so much into shows (remember we have a puppy) there is not much to do exept going to Mt. Charleston - that is quite nice - Lake Mead is to hot in the summer so we are so glad that we are moving, either to Texas (but now I think it is to hot too) or to Oregon or Washington. Just get away from the heat and the dust and the casinos. Miss green and rain a lot (I am from Germany) and will never ever complain about "to much rain" again.:-)

now see, if u had read the las vegas forums u would have learned that it is family oriented town with lots of dog parks and that the kids arent to bothered by the heat, why should u be? a non-gamber can lead a normal life with out the casinos and shows. there is plenty to do! heavens, with starbucks, borders and the like nearly on every street corner! the schools are busting at the seams cuz the level of education is so high, ppl are flocking to vegas from all over in order for their kids to attend them! i am only being sarcastic. vegas is not for everyone. i have a bf still there and for the life of me i dont know why. he moved to there from riverside, ca. so maybe vegas is a step up. i think he has a phobia of living in a city of less than a million population. i wish u the best!

Have you checked the Reno area? It really is nice up there (greener). If you head up in September, you'll even catch some leaves changing. From a climate point of view...it is much different.

People who are not happy where they are think that the problem is with the place, it isn't.

I dont know Guide. Do u ever read the vegas forums? ppl ask some funny questions over there. Personally i dont think dogs should be kept in apartments. Would one even want for their kid to play out in the blazing hot sun of vegas?
