Default Pahrump Question

Hi folks
Can anyone tell me if there is any land for sale within 20 minutes or less from pahrump ? Not Sandy Valley though i have lived there back in 1999 for a year & a half. I'm looking for something a little closer to pahrump. Also has pahrump gotten more crowded since 1999?
I use to shop at the Albertsons & their wasn't alot of traffic then.
Thanks Very much.

I see signs for land for sale driving while driving around in Pahrump, so there's most definitely some here.

I only moved here in 2008, but from what I understand from the people I've talked to around here, there is quite a bit more traffic now than there was ten years ago. More businesses too... and THREE traffic lights!!! :-)

I live in Pahrump, and there is lots of land for sale here. Plus, we now have 3 grocery stores, Smiths, Albertsons, and super WalMart. Still 3 lights. Also, a brand new Home Depot. Growing very fast.

Yeah, sadly there are some out here who want to turn Pahrump into a Mini Henderson.. thanks but I will pass on that. lol

I moved out here because it was NOT chaos and traffic. I don't want to see them bring too much in here plus there is the water issue to deal with.

These pro growther types (Who are being lead by some lady in town via email) are ones that moved here recently and are upset because their kids are bored.. so they want chuck e cheezes, mini malls, multiplexes and "family friendly dining" (Whatever the heck that is.. lol) on every corner in town.

I wish when people would move to Pahrump they would do some homework. We don't have the population or water supply to have all the things Vegas has, thats why its a small town with little traffic and lower crime.

Id love to see some new stuff too, but lets make sure out town can support it before we go nuts and put Starbucks coffee shops in every neighborhood

Who says Pahrump has lower crime? It is hard to find out as it is hidden in the Nye County numbers but I would doubt that local crime rate is particularly low in Pahrump. Better than Vegas...but probably not than Henderson. The rural and rowdy crowd out there has its impact.

Well olecapt, most of the crime in Pahrump is domestics and drunks.. now that said we HAVE had a few robberies this year and one lady was shot a while back in a convenience store in town.. but for the most part its rather mellow.

I compare listening to the Vegas scanner frequencies and ours out here.. its not even CLOSE to the amt of calls and trouble in Pahrump.

Can't do it that way. The scanner calls deal with vastly different populations. Drunks, teenagers and domestic disputes are the core of police calls everywhere.

You have far less calls because you have far less population...But you may well have more calls per capita. The belief in the bucolic and gentle rural town is often misplaced. Particularly if you have a cowboy flavor.

This is humor I suppose, there are about 45,000 people in Nye County, 25,000 of them in Pahrump. Pretty hard to hide that percentage.

If you check around you will find it is a small part of the Las Vegas population that commits virtually all the crime. So we should declare the rest of LV mostly crime free?

Pahrump may well have a higher percentage of the Nye county crime than the percentage of the population...in fact I would bet on it. So how do you define the relative crime in Pahrump versus Tonapah?

Would you mind awfully much rewriting your question so as to make it understandable?
Thanks.
