Default Lake Tahoe in the summer for an irish student??

Hey guys just wondering what is Lake Tahoe like during the summer? I'm an Irish student and will be looking to come over to work, hopefully doing something outdoors, but if not in a bar. I would like to ask what is it like here in the summer for jobs, nightlife, is it expensive?

Also i would hope that there wouldnt be loads of other irish students there, and would like to ask anyone who's been there in the summer did they run into many irish ppl?

Also what are the women there like? I found that in many places i've been to in california the women can be quite snobbish. Having an irish accent seemed to be either good or bad depending where u went! Would it be like that here? Thanks for all the help.
