Do any of you nice folks know any good fishing spots in Nevada besides the Colorado river? I know you can cross over into California in the Sierras but how about Nevada proper? Or for that matter how about some recreation areas for boating?

NDOW - Fishing

In the yearly fishing regulations (put out about this time of year), they have a list of all fishible waters in the state by region. Check out any sporting goods store or anywhere they sell hunting/fishing licenses.

I live in Ely and we got plenty of fishing around here. Big to trophy size rainbows and browns in Cave Lake, trout and pike in Commins (the pike were illegally introduced, they want them gone, no limit on pike), good bass fishing in the summer down at Sunnyside, and lots of little lakes, ponds, and streams.

Thanks for that website. It has some great places to check out.
Too bad about the pike. But, man I can smell those trout pan fried!
