I think it is a sad life. I live near Mound House in Carson City and so many of these girls are fresh out of High School or drop outs and they are clueless. Many also look strung out...........

No doubt interstate crime means federal prosecution-- higher conviction rate, and prosecution costs not a factor.

If they're strung out then that should be investigated because addiction can be used to force slavery, otherwise we must defend prostitutes and prostitution! and move there in order to vote for it.

My wife and I are thinking about going to a brothel as a couple to have a little adult fun! If more couples would be as open as us then you wouldn't have these men that have to go behind their wive's backs and cheat just to get satisfied.

I think the legalized prostitution is great because first and foremost the government has no right to tell us adults what to do in the bedroom!

And I think legal prostitution should be in every state, I bet it would cut down on illegal street prostitution because what ladies would run the streets when they could work in a brothel? So it would cut down on crime esp. rape!

It's practically legal in all states anyway, all you have to do is record it and pay the woman for the filming, not for the sex, it's called porn! Wake up America!

Having been a VICTIM of rape I don't feel that rape is necessarily about sex. It is a crime which I feel has to deal more with power and control. I don't think that the types of ppl who commit rape are gonna pay anyone just to get their jollies off. Rape is free, so why would a rapist pay for sex (even though rape isn't about sex)?

Becky,

What I meant is that street prostitutes are often victims of rape, with legalized prostitution, street prostitutes are taken off the streets and work in brothels, thus they are no longer on the streets susceptible to being raped!

In other words, legalized brothel prostitution will not only clean up our streets but it keeps prostitutes safe from being raped (as long as they are only working in the brothels).

Therefore, prostitution should be legal everywhere. If they had legal brothels in Vegas I bet you any money there would be a sharp decline in rapes in Clark county!

I disagree with what you are saying. If you took the girls off of the streets and put them into brothels, then yes they would be safe. Rapists are still going to look for victims. I don't think that this would reduce the incidence of rape.

I'm not saying that it would get rid of the rapists but there would be less victims for those rapists, which would result in less rapes.
