Default Recommendation for solid ISP in Mesquite

Small town with few choices. DSL goes down often during day and Direct Dish has low caps. Need reliable, 5 - 10Mbps, reasonable caps.

Definitely avoid Baja Broadband! Reliance Connects might be an option if your location has fiber optic service.

Not sure but what about a Verizon Air Card? Will it work there?

Yes, a Verizon card will work and will be getting EVDO Rev.A in Mesquite but will not be getting the speeds Cajon is seeking. Rev.A typically gets downloard speeds in the range of 600Kbps-1,400Kbps and could get bursts to just over 2.0Mbps.

They also cap at 5GB.

I've found that air cards from Verizon and Sprint are exceptionally reliable in Mesquite. Their main advantage is portability ...so it's portability over speed.

Have been using Reliance Connects fiber. Connection drops at all hours. I suspect its the combo dsl modem /wireless router the insist on using. Have ordered my own modem & wireless router -will try next week.

Since the post, have ordered Baja broadband, they came & connected, worked for a day, when they returned after I had more issues -said the mountain over Mesquite was big issue and couldn't serve Mesquite well -so disconnected.

Dish works and surprisingly fast for satellite, but too strict bandwidth limits for needs.
