Carson City Apartments (condo, college, live)

Does anyone have any recommendations or dis-recommendations for Carson City apartments? I'm moving at the end of July and I'm looking for:

2 bedroom, 1 bath (2 baths are OK but unnecessary)
Cat-friendly (most important! I have a very well-behaved Birman)
Reasonable pet deposit and monthly pet fee (some places gauge)
Dishwasher and microwave in kitchen
Garage, hopefully (I expect to pay extra for that)
Rent under $1000/mo, hopefully under $800/month
Generally pleasant atmosphere and responsive staff

A few places I've seen listings for on the Internet seem promising: Tanglewood Village, College Park Village, Shenandoah Villas, Parkway Manor, Broadleaf/Sagewood. Thoughts on those are especially welcome, but I'm interested in all options.

I've seen your handful of posts running down Carson City but you have yet to offer one little reason behind your "epinion".

There is good and bad here, but my views come from nine years of residency here. Did you live here, do you have friends here? What qualifies you for your hit and run attacks?

Do you expect someone to take your word on "because I said so"?

Original poster here. I have moved to Carson City, and I'm loving it! I got a very nice apartment downtown, near the state capitol building. I'm truly enjoying the city, and I don't understand why anyone would knock it.

I am conisdering looking @ a condo for vacation purposes, particularily for the Tahoe area in the winter. I noticed some hazardous wastes site locations on city-data.com, is there environmental issues that someone should worry about when moving to Carson City?

I'm looking for something in Carson City as well. I'm planning on moving within the next six months or so. Of course, nothing in this world is 100%.
