Default Yerington, NV

My family and I are planning to visit some relatives in Yerington from August 8th through August 10th.
What is the closest city/town with decent hotels? We don't need anything super fancy, but would like something a little nicer than a Motel 6 or Super 8. Where would be our best bet to stay without paying an arm and a leg to stay over the weekend?
Thanks.

There is not much in Yerington or vicinity if you don't want Motel 6 type lodging. Try the Carson Valley Inn in Minden Carson Valley Inn : Hotel-Casino-RV Resort is located 13 miles east of Lake Tahoe in Minden, Nevada. I've been there and it's nice.

Thank you.
Can you tell me how long of a drive it would be from Yerington to Reno? Lake Tahoe? Carson City?
Also, if I look into staying in Tahoe, should I be looking at North Lake Tahoe or South Lake Tahoe?
Thanks.

YOu need to get into the spirit of things. Yerrington is a happening and should be enjoyed for its own sake. Stay in Yerrington. You will survive and likely have a good time. Take a suite in a Casino. That will bring it up almost to the level of a Marriot Courtyard.

If you wish the next civilized place is Reno. Tahoe and Carson City are getting too far. Or as someone else suggested you can cut through the back way to Minden.

Lovely country even if Yerrington can be a little country. Enjoy.
