Whew!
Thanks Scirocco.
I have never recieved so much good insight from anyone before. Thanks SO much. Well, I will be traveling there early August to check things out. Spend a few days here and there and maybe get to know a few people.
I have to take in concideration weather I can make a living there as well.
How fast is the ISP?? Are there good and bad areas to live?
I've had many mixed reviews regarding BHC and LHC. I did not know that the population had grown so much in those areas. The info I'm finding on the net is a couple years old. Mainly because nobody updates the websites. Hmmmm. I will probably venture out to take a peek at Sedona. Been there a few times many years ago when I lived in Phoenix. It was quite nice but....
Well, relocating is always an adventure. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Had to do it a few times. Hoping this will be the last.

North and south
Scirocco.
The photos are nice. I have been getting bits and pieces of photos on the Net. The north end looks nice and new and very clean. How would you compare the south? Or, maybe Mesquite in general. Is it pretty clean? Are the roads fairly maintained? How about local government? Of course no one trusts polititions, but do they seem to be doing a good job taking care of things around there? Are there many unemployed (dead-beats)?
You let me know when your tired of all the questions.
As for the ISP situation, I live online. Thats how I make much of my income. So it's important to me. Of course depending on what I end up doing there that could change. Currently I am spoiled with 10mbps. I don't expect that there but 1.5mbps would be tolerable. I know its just a matter of time before technology saturates the little areas.

mesquite
hi there. i am a former nevada (vegas) resident for 4 years in the early 2000's
i just wanted to say you guys have done a great job of covering mesquite. we visited there many times when we lived in vegas and always had a great time. everyone knew it would be growing
one point however that i think has been missed in all this is the fact that now its a no brainer to choose mesquite over anything near laughlin. the reason?
the new bridge going over the hoover dam bypass scheduled to open in 2008 and expected to cut the time it takes to get from vegas to bullhead city to less than 45 minutes
there are already thousands of homes under construction in BHC and thousands more seeking approval from planning boards making it the number one bedroom community of Las Vegas for years to come
with the focus turning that way and the housing bubble about to burst in las vegas i suspect mesquite will stay under 50k and be a great place to work or retire for the next 5-10 years at least
anyone want to chime in on my thoughts?
i left nevada to pursue a job oppoortunity in rochester ny but i plan to return to nevada in 2008 and i am heading for mesquite

Where are you finding homes at 50k?
I think Mesquite is beautiful. We had planned on moving there and starting a small business. Until, I saw the price of housing. It was quite rediculous. We were wondering if we were still in California. Also, the average wage is way below the cost of a base home. Meaning, no homes for the average Joe.
Am I just missing something?

I think he meant that Mequite's population will stay under 50k, not the house prices.
