March 22nd Mesquite Wal-Mart Supercenter opening.
A St. George Ford affiliated dealership will be located in the excavated area visible just above Wal-Mart, and the Barcelona Casino/Resort development will be between that and Mesa View Hospital at the far right.

Hi
I'm new here.
I'm planning to spend one week in Mesquite.
Do you think that it is a nice place to take vacation?
Thanks for your replies.
Sorry for my bad English
Greetings from Bavaria

Mesquite is a very small town. Only a couple of casinos with basically spas and golf as your main options for entertainment or activities. We drove out there a few months ago, stayed for an hour and drove home (we are only an hour away). A coworker of mine got food poisoning from a fast food restaurant there. It's just a tiny town, but some people from Vegas take advantage of the weekend getaways they always offer on TV. But, if you plan to take a vacation there and Vegas is only an hour away, why not stay in Vegas instead. There are concerts, shows and events going on at most casinos on a nightly basis. For a nice, quiet escape, try checking out Mt. Charleston. It's beautiful up there.

Thanks for your answer.
The first week is already booked in Vegas.
So I also think that it is better to stay the second week in Las Vegas and not outside.

Hey Scirocco22. Seems you are the one with the no spin information. I am a IT professional looking to get out of the Techno-Madness here in Ca. I enjoy the desert lifestyle. Been checking out Mesquite, Laughlin/BHC and LHC. Do you have any comparison or insight you can pass on?
I'll be checking in frequently.
